Professional UV Clear Coat is available for the playing surfaces.
IMPORTANT: If you plan to paint, stain, or apply graphics to the playing surface, select No Clear Coat. UV clear coat is a finished playing surface and should be applied after your paint, stain, or graphics.
These are great DIY boards and easy to assemble. I ordered 2 sets and they came with slightly different sized leg bolts. The smaller sized ones wobble a bit in the pre-drilled holes so I will have to get some larger ones. Shipping was very expensive so I would expect better packaging and delivery (FedEx issues!). The single layer of tape on the corners of all the shipping boxes didn't hold and thus all the individual pieces were scattered around the boxes when I opened them.

Kit is great quality. Although I ordered no UV finish and twice in a row I got one side UV coated.
Plain Tournament DIY Kit
I received the boards and packing materials were all intact and undamaged. The latest set of board tops have several dents and black marks under the clear coat on one. The other board has a rough texture to the clear coat. This is not the same quality I have been receiving.
